The Man With Leprosy

The Man With Leprosy   Matthew 8:1 – 4

Are there sometimes people that say, “I don’t like you, or I don’t want to you near me??

There are many stories of people in the Bible who had many sicknesses. They had no hospitals back then and the person was not allowed to live at their home, with their family, but had to stay away from a village or town and   where –ever they went they had to call out, loudly, “I AM UNCLEAN.” So people could get away from them. And they had to beg for food to eat and clothes to wear. Well this one man heard that Jesus was coming close to where he was and when he saw Jesus he came to Jesus and he kneeled down before Jesus and asked Jesus to heal him. Did Jesus tell the man to go away, or don’t touch Me? No, Jesus said, “I am willing”  and He touched the man and He healed him. Just as Jesus was willing to reach out and touch that man, because Jesus loved and cared for him, Jesus/God love and care for us just as much today. It doesn’t matter what you have all done wrong, or how you look or talk. God/Jesus love you and they want to live with you and take care of you.

In the Bible God/Jesus tell us that they love us very much and that they want to be our Friend and live with us always and that we never need to be alone. Just as Jesus loved that man even with his sickness so God and Jesus love us today. If we want God/Jesus to live with us all the time we need to ask God/Jesus to be our Friend and come and live in our hearts. If you want God/Jesus to come and live in your hearts so that you never have to be alone again, pray this prayer with me. “Dear God/Jesus, I love you. I am very sorry for all that I have done wrong. I ask that you now come live in my heart and be my Friend forever so that I never have to be alone again. So that I can talk to you anytime and I know that you will take care of me. Thank-you God/Jesus for coming and living in my heart. I love you very much. Amen.
